Verdict

Jim Bolger has an excellent record in this and the presence of Kevin Manning on board the newcomer Golden Handcuffs is interesting as the stable also run the experienced Intensely Focussed. Aidan O'Brien also runs two, the 220,000 euros newcomer Castle Howard, from the first crop of Excelebration and out of a winning miler, plus the impressive Tipperary winner Ambiguity, who ploughed through the mud that day to score easily. Donnacha O'Brien keeps the ride and can use his claim so he'll be a short-priced favourite though may not have it all his own way against PSYCHEDELIC FUNK. Ger Lyons' charge attracted good support on his debut here last month and looked a very smart prospect in beating the odds-on Bean Feasa.
