COLFER KAY has been a beaten favourite in her three starts since making a very promising debut at Down Royal though each time she's come up against smart opposition and hasn't been beaten far. It's quite possible that a couple of these could improve past her though she had Elizabethan about a length behind when runner-up over an extended 6f at Limerick. The latter came here a few days later and was only caught in the closing stages so is an obvious threat but Semenya is held by the selection on their run behind Preamble at Fairyhouse. Zara Mac was around 5 lengths behind Ken Condon's filly at Navan but that was her debut and she is entitled to get closer. Golden Lyric took a while to get going on fast ground at Cork but will have come on markedly and the easier conditions should enable her to get into contention.
