In depth

Verdict

Scholastic has been racing over hurdles since scoring on the Flat at Tramore in August, winning at Punchestown and placed three times. A mark of 70 seems reasonable and Mikey Sheehy's claim will aid his cause. Na Caith Tobac showed nothing before a shock victory at Tipperary then defied a 10lb hike at Navan. He's been hit with another 11lb rise so this is more difficult. POSTER CHILD makes a quick reappearance after finishing second to the well handicapped Dreal Deal at Cork on Tuesday. She's progressing with racing and can get off the mark. Pikaia could find this on the short side as her best run came over 1m4f when a neck behind Jeff Kidder at Bellewstown but if the ground turned heavy she would enter calculations.
