Verdict

Blue Law has won just once in 29 starts - over today's C&D two years ago from a mark of 72. He was down to 48 when just touched off by Gagnant over an extra furlong at Roscommon last week and looks ready to add to his score soon. However, MRS BATT, who attempted to make all that day, was only caught in the dying strides and though she has never run over this trip it promises to suit and she gets the vote. One Of Three has been racing exclusively over 7f and is in excellent shape though she has just been touched off over slightly lower marks on her two latest starts and the handicapper may just have her in his grip. Solent Ridge may provide a bigger threat despite his weight as Ger Lyons' charge is in good heart and is on the same mark as when runner-up to the in-form Sean Og Coulston at Down Royal last month.
