Ger Lyons won this last year and his Lightnin Hopkins made a very promising debut at Fairyhouse where he stayed on strongly behind Boston Rocker. He looks certain to go well but has to concede weight all round and NURPUR looks the one to be on. She's highly regarded and started favourite for what looked a very strong maiden over 7f at Leopardstown before possibly finding the trip stretching her stamina at this stage. She can go one better though Strapless will be no pushover as she also found 7f a little too far last time after a very promising start over this trip. Lady Gosford finished last on her debut but showed good speed for a long way and will have come on for the run.
