Verdict

Ted Walsh won this last year but Kildorrery will need massive improvement to be competitive against the principals as will Cafe Con Leche, who looks outclassed despite receiving weight all round. Daly Tiger, rated 132 over hurdles, is much better over fences as he showed when easily beating Tornado Flyer in a Grade B handicap at Punchestown under Sean Flanagan. He then rad badly under a conditional at Fairyhouse before beating Pont Aven in a Grade A handicap back there under Flanagan. Both runners-up are trained by Willie Mullins, who has CILAOS EMERY engaged here. He was winning a Grade 3 hurdle at Gowran at this time last year before an excellent run in the Champion Hurdle. The winner of his first three starts over fences, he looked in need of the run behind stable companion Bachasson at Clonmel and though conceding 9lb to his main rival won't be easy he's taken to do so.
