Winning point-to-pointer and bumper Grangeclare Native fell when long odds-on at Gowran then just failed to catch Joshua Webb over the course and distance. There's plenty of improvement in him and he looks certain to be thereabouts. Eden Flight won a bumper in France but was put in his place by Braeside over 2m6f at Fairyhouse in January. He's the type to make good progress this campaign as is MINELLA ESCAPE (NAP). The latter won a point at Belharbour in February and was still in front, though tiring, when coming to grief at the last over this trip at Punchestown in September. His stable companion Kalkas had a run in France last December while Salt Wind, a winning point-to-pointer, has done well in bumpers and this is much more likely to be his game.
