      In depth

      Verdict

The veteran Corrick Bridge was going on strongly at the finish over 3m at Bellewstown last time as was the lightly-raced and progressive Tiger Bay Lady, who can turn the tables with that run under her belt. Close One had beaten LUCKY PIGEON narrowly at Roscommon a month ago but the positions were well and truly reversed a couple of weeks later at Kilbeggan when the latter ran out a comfortable winner. He's since been beaten narrowly in a Downpatrick handicap and is taken to get back on the winning trail. Rodger Roo landed a maiden over 2m4f at Kilbeggan in July before finding the minimum trip much too short at Galway. He bounced back over his winning distance when runner-up at Roscommon and has the scope to do better so has to be on the shortlist as does Tico, though his strike-rate of 1-35 is off-putting.
