Verdict

Deep Speed was a bit disappointing when strongly fancied at Listowel after a much better run at the Curragh but the heavy ground was probably responsible and this will be more to his liking. TONABROCKY was definitely unlucky to be beaten a short-head by Bint Nayef at Galway and compensation awaits Jim Bolger's Pivotal colt. With her stable in such outstanding form, Rupa has to go on the shortlist as she showed good potential in two races in the spring while Dermot Weld's newcomer Amber Romance, a half-sister to the useful Sapphire, has to noted in the market.
