Nosey Box landed a novice hurdle at Hexham in May in a canter then just failed to hold on in a similar race there a month later and makes his handicap debut. Springfield Grey is 9lb higher than his only victory at Wexford in July though Shane Crimin's claim is a bonus. Cool Oscar had dropped to a lowly mark when gaining a very easy victory at Tipperary a month ago and has been raised 11lb. He's never won from a mark this high though Barry Geraghty is a positive booking. Dfordarsi, who finished third, must have a fair chance of reversing the form on these revised terms. Shinahwil gained her first success on her 15th start over hurdles at Thurles last month for which she's been raised 6lb though Johnny Burke's claim halves her burden. GALLANT OSCAR (NAP) did very well over hurdles and fences last season and is probably capable of better. He can run off a massive 29lb lower than his chase rating so must be the selection to make a successful reappearance.
