Verdict

Run For Oscar, brilliant winner of the Cesarewitch at Newmarket, wasn't beaten far in a Grade 3 over hurdles at Haydock last month and will relish this stamina test. Jungle Prose continues on his upward curve having completed a four-timer over 2m6f here but has to compete from 12lb higher and runner-up Lord Erskine should get much closer. The winner's stablemate Eric Bloodaxe made a successful debut for the yard at Fairyhouse while Vina Ardanza, yet another from the stable, would probably have won at Naas but for a mistake two out. Grand National runner-up Any Second Now reverts to hurdles on a 17lb lower mark and Ted Walsh knows how to get one ready but this can go to MAZE RUNNER, beaten just over a length by smart stable companion Echoes In Rain on the Flat at the Galway Festival and on a fair mark over timber.
