Verdict

LANDRAKE's victory over Corbetts Cross at Clonmel has worked out brilliantly with the latter having subsequently completed a hat-trick. Gordon Elliott's charge may have completed a hat-trick himself here in January as he was travelling well when falling three out. He has to concede 3lb to the Limerick maiden winner Paul Marvel but should be capable of doing so, though the latter is certain to improve. Monbeg Park's placed effort in a Cork Grade 3 was a fine effort and he had been elevated into Grade 1 company when pulling up at Naas. The remainder are all recent winners with Senior Chief looking a very progressive type at Punchestown.
