Verdict

Gusda ran well when runner-up to Roi Du Mee at Limerick in December but hasn't replicated that run in two subsequent starts. Considering it was his first start for almost five years Mr Nosie, a Group 1 and 2 winning novice hurdler, made a remarkable return to action at Fairyhouse in January and hopefully his problems are behind him. He could just need another run to put him straight, however, so this can go to PONTIAC, who has been running in better company than this with credit and will appreciate the drop in class. The Bishop Looney was in good form over timber prior to his latest effort at Punchestown and this looks a fair contest to begin a chasing career while Kyle's Turn found some improvement behind Tawaagg at Gowran and further progress must see him go close.
