Spider Web followed a narrow victory at Ballinrobe by defying a 9lb rise at Tipperary and has only had five starts though another 13lb extra may stop him in his tracks. WOLFSLAIR (NAP) didn't show much in maidens but that didn't deter his supporters who backed him into favourite on his handicap debut at Down Royal. He was always travelling nicely and though hit with a 12lb rise he still looks ahead of the handicapper. Come Dance With Me had shown nothing before a much better effort here in September while Varene De Vauzelle has been very consistent at this sort of level and has every chance of reaching the frame again from his lowly mark. Tipped Up Harry was chasing last winter but reverts to hurdles on a 22lb lower mark so has to be respected.
