Verdict

Catalpa Sail ran a couple of fair races over 5f at Dundalk before a better effort on fast ground over today's trip at Leopardstown when only just touched off by Wave Of Applause. He was six lengths ahead of the disappointing Purple Glow on the latter occasion and is easily the pick of those with experience but either of David Wachman's pair Cherishing and EMERALD KING may be good enough to make a winning start. Both are daughters of Johannesburg out of very speedy mares who have produced decent winners and Johnny Murtagh's mount may just be the more forward at this stage.
