      Verdict

      WESTERN AUSTRALIA's close third behind Magna Grecia in the Futurity at Doncaster is the obvious stand-out form and though he's been disappointing in his two starts this campaign he's now being tried at a much longer trip. His pedigree doesn't suggest he'll be suited but he'll have a fitness advantage over Masaff, runner-up in a Leopardstown Group 3 in October, though Dermot Weld's charge won first-time-out last season. The filly Chablis hails from the selection's stable and her pedigree suggests this will be her kind of trip but Pythion has finished a long way behind Broome in two Group 3 races over 1m2f at Leopardstown.
