In depth

Verdict

DON POLI has a stamina-packed pedigree so the 2m2f of his debut at Auteuil in March would have proved too short, even on the heavy ground. Now with the champion trainer, he can put that experience to good use and make a successful start in Ireland. Courage has to be a threat as he's been running well against decent opposition despite still retaining his maiden status after 18 career starts. His two recent placed efforts in handicaps entitle him to the greatest respect. Winning point-to-pointer No More Heroes made a promising start under Rules behind Gilt Shadow at Down Royal and there's much more to come and Run With The Tide has shown potential over trips too short so he's one to note. Tawseef won three times on the Flat and Colin Bowe knows how to get one ready.
