Verdict

It's hard to imagine a more wide-open affair but TOFINO BAY won this as a novice last year and, though hit hard in the ratings and a faller on his reappearance, he's given the nod to complete the double. Colbert Station was trained for the Grand National last year where he fell but AP McCoy is on board again and Ted Walsh's stayer must be respected despite his weight. Jamsie Hall arrives in tremendous shape having scored at Aintree having run very well on his previous start behind the in-form Double Seven at Limerick while Mad Brian was a smart novice last season and made a very pleasing reappearance over a trip too short. Willie Mullins' pair Sweet My Lord and Rockyaboya are well enough weighted to get involved along with Goonyella, who won a marathon handicap at the Punchestown Festival in April.
