In depth

Verdict

The lightly-raced VULTAN makes his handicap debut and looks the type to make significant improvement this season starting off on a lowly mark and stepping up to a more suitable trip. Custers Mistake has run well the last twice from this sort of mark and can't go much lower while Share The Honour stays much further and a fast pace would play to his strengths. Purdey's Gift just failed to land a maiden hurdle at Fairyhouse in January while the once-useful White Desert returned to form at Dundalk earlier this month. Hook Head is lurking on a handy mark and the step-up in trip should suit.
