    Verdict

Three previous winners are attempting to give weight to some nicely-bred newcomers in a potentially-informative opener. Sir Michael Stoute, John and Thady Gosden, Saeed bin Suroor and Roger Varian are all doubly represented. NOON STAR beat a subsequent winner at Nottingham in the autumn and that looks stronger form than Loving Dream’s win at Wolverhampton and the debut success of Sherbet Lemon at Newcastle. Franklet is, unsurprisingly, by Frankel and a half-sister to an all-weather winner with Mojazaffah and Natural Colour also worth a market check.
