      Verdict

Lucky Beggar hasn’t won for two years but is well treated as a result with Laura Pearson’s claim a further plus. Arnold’s losing run stretches back even further but he is often thereabouts. Qaaraat has been busy on Fibresand but is only 1-27 on Turf. GOOD LUCK FOX should be capable of picking up a handicap off this sort of mark based on his third in a big field at Musselburgh and he’s preferred to Good Earth, who got off the mark at the 17th attempt at Nottingham. Asmund never figured when third at Pontefract and remains winless but Hail Sezer has been lightly raced and may have more to offer this year.
