In depth

Verdict

Jim Bolger won the opening race of the new season at the Curragh and Dixie Bluebell showed plenty of promise in her opening two runs in August before sustaining an injury when favourite for her final start at Tipperary. PROVOCATEUSE was only a neck behind the useful Grammata in that latter event and though she couldn't quite get to grips with the first two at Dundalk in November the form has worked out well. Buzz Of New York also showed potential in her first campaign and a run at the Curragh on Sunday will have blown away the cobwebs. Resourceful Man attracted a bit of support at Dundalk in January and normal progress can see him better what was an encouraging start.
