    Verdict

Mark Johnston sent out last year’s winner and PILLAR OF HOPE looked an improved colt when making a winning reappearance over a mile at Newcastle. He can defy a penalty in this given Arthur's Realm hasn’t raced since October when runner-up over today’s trip at Newmarket. Wolverhampton third Otyrar is a likely improver for the Gosden’s yard and is preferred to both Auriferous and Sabre Jet of the remainder.
