In the six years this has been run, two four-year-old fillies have been successful. Ningbo Express may prove the best of them this time as the Beverley winner will have gained experience from her hurdling debut at Naas. Whisper Rock wasn't beaten far on her hurdling bow at Punchestown in January then reverted to a bumper to score at Thurles. She looks certain to get into the frame but PAINTED LADY may just have her measure. She had little chance against the well-regarded Le Vent D'Antan over 2m4f here last week but her previous two runs over this trip suggest she is up to gaining her first victory. Princess Leya landed a Cork bumper by 18 lengths but failed to build on that in two subsequent races where she was very well supported. She makes her debut over timber and her pedigree puts her right in the picture.
