In depth
Verdict
In a fascinating race, watch the betting market for clues but John Gosden's Neap Tide might just provide the answer. A well-bred son of Zafonic, the selection is one of a number of debutants from local or fairly local stables who can be given a chance based on breeding. These include Bukit Fraser, Frank Sonata, Freak Occurrence, Habanero. Named At Dinner, Thyolo and Top Seed. John Dunlop's Carmine Silk also catches the eye as a potential threat, and both of the only runners in the field to have had a race, Bailaora and Desert Dreamer - who raced over an inadequate six furlongs on his debut when fourth behind subsequent Royal Ascot winner Pearl Love, could also go well. In an open race, though, we'll stick with Neap Tide.
