In depth

Verdict

The Paddocks made a winning start over track and trip before struggling in the Norfolk Stakes at Ascot. But he’s conceding weight to ALMURR, who finished second over the extended 6f here last time in a race that has subsequently produced a host of winners. Brian Meehan’s colt gets the nod on that form. Disruptor showed some progress at Lingfield last time while Nefarious looks a likely improver and James Street is preferred of the newcomers ahead of Ritchie Valens and Bullington Boy.
