Verdict
Following wind surgery and a gelding operation, Jack Darcy made a winning debut at Salisbury in September but has been absent since. Only beaten a neck on his introduction at Newmarket, SPECIAL ENVOY went one better at Windsor when the first two pulled well clear. His rider’s claim takes a chunk out of his penalty and he’ll be hard to beat here. The fillies Dancing Empress and Miss Bluebelle are likely improvers.
