    Verdict

Hard to rule anything out with confidence in a race where the seven-runner field eliminates each-way options. Going along with the only maiden is a risky play but ENCOURAGE definitely benefitted from the move up to 1m2f at Newmarket last time. The Iffraaj gelding is also proven on soft and now tackles trip and ground together for the first time in receipt of weight from his rivals. Civil Law, seeking a three-timer off joint topweight on stable debut, revealed a battling attitude to oblige at York last time and it's hard to separate the three handicap debutants with similar profiles - Fast Steps, Badlands and Anmaat. Percy's Pride impressed on the all-weather latest.
