      Verdict

Casual Smile sets the standard on her close-up second at Newmarket in September where she finished four lengths ahead of Criteria. Cascading is another to consider on her third over a mile here while Dorset Cream is the choice of James Doyle ahead of Martinette, though the latter is partnered by Frankie Dettori and not easily dismissed. Magic Shoes, Inchila and Almashooqa will all improve this year and are worth a second glance in the betting. Willie Haggas has won recent renewals of this with subsequent Listed winner Vow and the Oaks heroine Dancing Rain. APPROACHING STAR is entered in the Oaks and a big run is expected from the newcomer with Ryan Moore on board.
