In depth

Verdict

TOP BOY won rather smoothly on his first start for Tony Carroll just three days ago and receives no penalty for that success in an apprentice handicap. He has presumably reacted very positively to new surroundings and is taken to follow up under the same promising apprentice. Spanish Star is enjoying a consistent campaign and is fully deserving of topweight. He can display a telling turn of foot at this level and must be kept on the right side with trip and ground fine for the Chamings inmate. Pettochside is into the veteran stage but retains form and enthusiasm admirably and harbours respectable place claims along with dropped-in-class Across The Sea.
