Sky Lake won at Newcastle in October but this may turn out to be a tough assignment under a penalty for Marco Botti’s filly. Love And Thunder is the first of two rides that Frankie has for John Gosden tonight. She made her debut on the all-weather at Deauville for Andre Fabre and was odds-on, though beaten a short-head. She’ll be fancied to gain compensation with normal progress but could find ALASH ORDA a tough nut to crack. The latter found Snow Shower too good on her debut at Salisbury but the winner finished fourth in last week’s Pretty Polly so the form is decent. Roger Varian also runs the unraced Dansili filly Jaaizah and she is worth noting for future reference as she has a nice middle-distance pedigree.
