In depth

Verdict

Bodes Well created a good impression when repelling the challenges of two far more strongly fancied types to land a Haydock maiden and is taken to follow-up off an acceptable mark for this handicap debut. He is not easy to assess after just three starts but looks on a very workable mark with his young pilot's claim factored in. Sweet Charity disappointed rather the last day when upped to Class 3 company for the first time but she has undeniable ability and didn't settle as well as normal on that occasion. She's a threat on her best form, especially if relaxing better. Taurean Dancer may have more to come over this new trip, whereas the top two look to face a tough task at the weights.
