Verdict
A bumper entry for this 1000 Guineas trial with several putting tall reputations on the line. Dancing Vega, a €150,000 yearling, went into many notebooks when making a striking debut at Doncaster in the autumn and her yard has a good record in this Group 3. So Perfect, placed in both the Phoenix Stakes and the Cheveley Park last year, is testing the water for Ballydoyle but Star Terms’ form matches the Irish challenger. She was second in the May Hill and third in the Marcel Boussac in her first season and beat Dutch Treat in a maiden here last summer. MUCHLY won over a mile here in October and is still unexposed. The same trainer/jockey combination won this in 2017 and the Iffraaj filly, who is related to a host of winners, is held in high regard. Iconic Choice progressed from handicaps to land a Listed race over course and distance in October but Dandhu has only won a Kempton maiden so far, though she was second in the Rockfel at Newmarket on her final start last year and should continue heading in the right direction.
