        Verdict

        DINKUM DIAMOND took the step up to today's trip in his stride when finishing a close-up third to Genki in a Listed event at Newmarket on his reappearance. Henry Candy's colt will have improved for the run and could prove the one to beat here. Last year's Coventry Stakes second Elzaam drops back down in distance after a couple of unsuccessful attempts at 7f and should figure, while Sweet Cecily's second to Electric Waves here last August gives her the beating of Pabusar, Darajaat and Cape To Rio. The remainder look up against it on today's terms.
