Manyriverstocross is the percentage call here although may not be one to follow over the cliff with several of his rivals holding live claims. Grande Caiman seemingly proved his stamina at Ascot but didn't travel all that kindly and we prefer the claims of Tropical Strait who was unfortunate to bump into a good one at Salisbury on his penultimate start. Akarem is on a fair mark but hasn't won on the level for a while and there are various concerns regarding Coyote Creek, Jagger and Corran Ard. North Parade has some big entries but plenty to prove and Woolfall Treasure - who made a pleasing debut for Gary Moore at Goodwood - could improve for the fitting of cheekpieces but has to prove himself over the trip and on the ground. Carmond made a pleasing British debut and should come on for the run but the solid selection is Alan King's runner with only his relatively quick reappearance a minor concern given the testing conditions. He appeared to see this sort of trip out well enough last week, handles the ground, has the class to win and Probert's claim is a further boost; Manyriverstocross is the call.
