Verdict

Great Art is selected ahead of Instalment and Marsool. The Peter Chapple-Hyam outfit have had a couple of reverses of late but this son of freshman sire, One Cool Cat has a fair bit of speed in his pedigree and as a close relation to the Sir Michael Stoute trained, Cabinet, he should have few problems with the six furlongs. Instalment is the pick of Richard Hughes ahead of stable companion, Head Down. His close relatives include the talented miler, Right Approach. Marsool has to be respected if there is any money around. He is certainly well bred as his dam is a half-sister to the fantastic Dylan Thomas. Duke Of Aquitaine was well backed on introduction at Windsor and has been given time to develop. Courageous Nature has already had the unkindest cut of all. Survivor's Song has a miler's pedigree but Dean Ivory doesn't make a habit of taking on big assignments like this without having a reason to do so. Private Passion is precociously bred although his sire's record seems to suggest that he'll be seen at his best when the rain comes. Amanda Perrett won this race last year and she is represented by Tudor Key on this occasion. A tough one to call without reference to the market and we stick with Great Art.
