Verdict

New Caledonia is upped 7lb for winning at Ascot last time while Cymro carried a big weight to victory at Haydock and is only 2lb higher. Chester winner Who Dares Wins takes a further step up in class and Memorial Day needs to improve further off his current mark on his first start of the year. Mainstream has strong claims on his second at Beverley and Man Look was beaten only a short-head in a lower grade at Sandown last time. But another chance goes to SHAKOPEE (NAP) here given the ground turned against him over 1m6f at Haydock on his latest start and Luca Cumani’s charge had gone very close in a hot handicap on fast ground over today’s trip at York before that.
