In depth

Verdict

BRONZE ANGEL raced with plenty of zest in his first try in blinkers, and with connections electing to bypass the Victoria Cup, he can repay their patience by getting back into the winning habit. Tellevoi was another to forego a run at Ascot and, while seemingly exposed, his yard are operating at the peak of their powers. Modern Tutor proved progressive on a softer surface last season and Andrew Balding's charge could still be well handicapped, while Indignant has never been far away on his seasonal reappearances and is a proven performer over the trip. Morache Music looked a little unlucky at Haydock last month and shouldn't be discounted from giving a good account under top weight. Fort Knox makes a debut for the boys in blue having previously won races for Tommy Carmody and Richard Hannon while the handicapper has given Sir Reginald and last year's Lockinge fourth Chil The Kite a chance.
