Verdict

JACKELLA has now won two of his last three starts and is fancied to win again at the main expense of Major Euro, Classic Role and Scaramouche. The seven-year-old seems to have improved considerably for the application of a tongue-tie this season. Ground with cut in is not a problem and reunited with Andrew Thornton again, a big show should be on the cards despite a 4lb rise in the weights. Great Tsar continues to run well in defeat and he is respected despite being winless under rules, so a bigger danger could be Scaramouche who seems to be improving with every start this season and his second at Wincanton looks solid. Thenford Trout has bumped into some smart sorts and faces easier company for this first handicap run, Major Euro has claims despite the advancing years, whilst Classic Role is consistent and this is his trip. At a price Triggernometry could go well if getting his angles right, however it is Jackella who gets the vote.
