Verdict

Corrybrough deserves to take his chance in Group company; however as his first step outside of his own age group he is taken on with Wi Dud, whilst Beckermet and Intrepid Jack also rate as dangers. The selection hasn't been able to get his head in front in four starts this season but Kevin Ryan's colt has run some fair races in defeat, most notably when fourth recently at Sandown. He has plenty of ability and the return to this trip won¿t be against him; a big run looks to be on the cards. Beckermet ran a blinder on the Roodee recently and is usually hard to pass, whilst Balthazaar's Gift was well-held in the Golden Jubilee but this is much more his level. Intrepid Jack is another who has talent and has been hyped up this season but not quite delivered as of yet. Rowe Park will struggle under his penalty, whilst Edge Closer will like this ground and can bounce back after a poor effort last time. Corrybrough is a gross horse; he is a proper sprinter with real power but his wins have been coming over five furlongs against his own age and whilst he must be high on any shortlist, this will be a much tougher test. At a price Dark Missile could run well for his in-form trainer, however it is Wi Dud who can land the prize.
