Verdict
Alphabeth can land back-to-back victories here for the Mick Channon yard. Successful at Nottingham last Saturday, this is a more competitive contest although the ground conditions will suit while the easy five furlongs should also play to her strengths. Kheylide opened her account on the poly-track at Lingfield recently and certainly is progressing but rain softened ground could hinder her chances. Titus Andronicus was readily out-pointed by Red Baron Dancer at Chester and is another that would be better suited by top-of-the-ground. Returning to a more straight-forward five furlongs will suit though. Sunset Crest could well be the dark horse. The drop back to five furlongs suited Ann Duffield's filly last time when she scored over course and distance beating a filly who subsequently was well-backed and went close to landing a Newbury maiden afterwards. Alphabeth is the selection to land the opener.
