Verdict
San Silvestro is a speculative selection to land the finale after a very eye-catching seasonal debut where he was a fast finishing third behind Dream Express. It is probably that Ann Duffield's three year old will be more effective over further in the future but for now, the mile should be adequate given the likely fast pace that should emerge. If the market speaks in Earlsmedic's favour he would be of real interest given connections. He put up a career best effort last time over seven furlongs at Ayr when strongly backed to do the business and a 3lb hike should not inconvenience him given the confidence behind him last time. Natural Rhythem is up 4lb for a Hamilton victory where he dictated matters from the front. Such tactics are more difficult to exploit at this venue. Stand In Flames and Tamsou are others worthy of consideration but San Silvestro is the vote to land the lucky last.
