Jumby won this on fast ground last year with Pogo behind though the latter reversed running at Newmarket in the autumn. Chindit was below par in last year’s renewal but ran a big race in the Lockinge here in May but both New Endeavour and Mostabshir failed to figure in Listed company at Newmarket last month. MARBAAN was no match for Kinross in the Lennox Stakes at Goodwood last time but there looks more to come from the three-year-old this season so Charlie Fellowes’ colt gets the vote.
