In depth

Verdict

This race ordinarily produces a decent type and WISHFULL THINKING could prove the best today with Master Of The Hall and Rester Vrai others to make appeal. Phillip Hobbs' charge has looked entirely professional on his racecourse starts thus far and while this is a step up from his recent engagement at Hereford, he won that contest in the style of a horse to stay on the right side of. Master of The Hall stays three miles so the soft going will bring his stamina into play. He disposed of a Jonjo O'Neill hotpot at Sandown Park with complete disdain. Lucy Wadham has her string in good nick and has two entered. Rester Vrai was not up to much in bumpers but his breeding suggests that he will appreciate the step up in trip and the prevailing going. Court In Motion carried plenty of positive notes before his appearance at Newbury. It has not been a vintage season for Emma Lavelle though the market has to again be noted. Seize The Day has shown little thus far and might be one to note in future handicaps. Harry The Hat is closely related to a number of staying chasers so could be capable of improvement. Regain du Charbonneau won a Market Rasen bumper though has failed to hit the target since. Little George was well beaten in a lesser race last time out and now has something to prove. A race for the video as there are sure to be plenty of future winners. However, for today, Wishfull Thinking looks the most exciting and we are confident that he can defy a recent penalty.
