Verdict

The Cecil camp won this in 2007 with subsequent Oaks winner Light Shift and again a year later. With his stable having struck form early this campaign WROTHAM HEATH looks the one to be on. A very impressive winner on ground with plenty of give at Nottingham in October, he has entries in the Dante and Derbies at Epsom and the Curragh, while the Godolphin pair Gold Rally and Swedish Sailor also have classic engagements. The former ploughed through the Haydock mud to land a maiden in October but the latter was even more impressive the same month at Yarmouth where he gained a very easy success in soft ground. Ektihaam finished last in the Dewhurst after completing a double here and at Newmarket while the remaining pair will need to step up on their all-weather form in this company.
