      Verdict

BLUE JACK is well handicapped if anywhere near his best and gets the nod in a tight handicap. He won this in 2010 from a higher mark and also beat Captain Dunne in a Chester Listed contest off level weights that summer. He receives 13lb from Tim Easterby's charge here and had Medicean Man a neck behind in a Polytrack Listed contest at Lingfield on his reappearance and is a stone better off with that one. Easterby also runs Confessional and, though he doesn't win often, he'll like the soft conditions better than most. Last year's Ayr Silver Cup winner Cheveton is 3lb out of the handicap but he's another who won't mind the going and looks a threat.
