Verdict

VILLAGE VIC produced a bold front-running performance to get off the mark over fences here last month. He was always holding the placed horses and there should be plenty more to come so he can defy a 5lb rise in the weights. Major Milborne has a first and a second from two runs here and will be hard to keep out of the frame again but faster going is a worry for Sandown fourth Tresor De Bontee and French import Cernunnos makes his debut for Tom George following a lay-off. Sonofagun and Rio De Sivola would have to improve on recent form to figure and Owen Na View is still a maiden under Rules. Sergeant Pink may be out of his depth.
