Verdict

Equuleus Pictor hasn't won for two years but is well handicapped nowadays as a result and it would be no surprise to see him end his barren spell, despite top weight. Southwell winner Premier League may be worth opposing, however, as this is his first race over the minimum trip and he didn't show a lot on his only previous start on turf. Spic 'n Span is also better on the all-weather nowadays, while Rebecca Romero has struggled in this grade in the past. BOUNCY BOUNCY seemed reluctant to let herself down on fast ground when favourite at Nottingham last month but earlier efforts on better surfaces suggest she should take all the beating today.
