In depth

Verdict

Chepstow winner Hedging was placed at Leicester on his handicap debut while Big Lachie and Rising Eagle also made the frame on their respective handicap bows. Rajar was second in a maiden at Kempton but the three at the top of the weights all drop in class. Sayesse ran well in a nursery at Ascot but SPIRITOUS (NAP) was five lengths ahead of High Acclaim when fifth in Class 2 company at Newmarket last time and John Gosden’s Godolphin colt gets the vote to come out best in this lower grade contest.
