      Verdict

This is a competitive affair with the shortlisted three being Zaif, Go Tech and Del Mar Sunset, with the choice being Go Tech. Zaif's mark is fair based on his Newmarket run of two runs ago and his chance is respected. Go Tech is now five pounds below a winning mark from June 2006 and has been running better of late so has to come into things. Rule Of Life kept on well at Goodwood last time and the longer trip and more-galloping track today should suit better. Ezdiyaad is a lightly-raced unexposed Marcus Tregoning recent maiden winner. Del Mar Sunset is on a course and distance winning mark from Newmarket in May and, given that he caught the eye making late headway last time, he too has to be given plenty of thought. Finally, Aegean Prince is relatively unexposed and should have better to come, particularly as his stable is in better form now, and add to all this the fact that Transvestite and Pagan Crest are now weighted to win again and you can see how competitive this is with, once again, the selection being Go Tech.
